Although Vothistan officially declared independence on February 26th, 2025, it existed de facto for much longer. The concept of Vothistan was first created around March of 2023. It was originally a fictional alt-historical nation concept known as Votistan instead of Vothistan. You may read more about the original Votistan concept here. During 2024, Noah Voth abandoned Votistan and moved on with life. However, in 2025, Noah wished to make his own nation (who wouldn't?) and was heavily inspired by his concept nation back in middle school. On February 16th, 2025, (Noah's birthday :D)  Noah purchased the domain Vothistan.org and made the civil ensign for Vothistan, which at the time, was intended to be the only official flag for Vothistan. Then, Noah made the coat of arms and made a new version of the Vothistan flag with the coat of arms on it, he decided to make 2 official flags for Vothistan. On February 20th, Voth allowed for others to apply for citizenship early, gaining 3 new citizens. Finally, on February 26th, 2025, President Noah Voth signed the constitution, making Vothistani independence official and ending the provisional government.
